A/C saga continues PLEASE HELP

OK, I am getting a little frustrated and I need some help. So far I have installed a brand new Subaru compressor and a brand new Subaru filter/dryer. I still have crap for cold air coming out of the vents. I vac'ed the system down to -30 and it held the pressure. I have low side pressure right now set at about 65. When the compressor comes on, it only pulls the pressure down to about 45-50. I am getting about 70 degrees at the vents right now at best. The Subie shop originally told me the compressor was bad. The refrigeration tech at work told me the compressor was bad. I do not think the brand new, shipped straight from Japan compressor is bad...

I think I've done all I'm comfortable doing from a do-it-yourself point of view, and the car is going in the shop ASAP. I hope someone here can suggest some other possibilities so I know what to expect when I take it in to the shop. Expansion valve maybe?
