Re: Hydra Nemesis

What error codes would you possibly need to check? You can just open up your laptop, plug in, and look at every value of every sensor directly if you'd like.

Why count flashing cels to see if the O2 sensor is out, just go see the zero for yourself!

Significant Technical Input
Re: Hydra Nemesis

Actually I entered dyno information for a stock svx into a shift calculator and came up with the ideal shift points for 1/4 mile drag racing at 7200 rpm from 1st to 2nd and 6800 from 2nd to 3rd. It seems worth doing. I also happen to like my shift maps a lot better. I posted the code for the most significant shift map changes in Phil's thread so anyone who wants to do this is welcome to use it. Changing the full throttle rpm limits for each gear is easy. Chipping the tcu is very worth doing.

You only need a chip for the TCU if you want higher shift points. I do not offer this right now but you may be able to talk to B3hla about how to do it yourself or maybe have him do it for you.

Re: Hydra Nemesis

ps, please don't anyone take that as an indication that I'm saying your engine will hold together at those rpms. I've had a stock svx blow a rod bearing on a dyno below 7000 rpm's. There's no way to know what oil clearances a stock engine has so it's kind of the luck of the draw.

Re: Hydra Nemesis

Nice! Hey, do you happen to have the dimensions on our lateral links (length - bolt through hole to bolt through hole) and width of end blocks)?
Thanks.

Re: Hydra Nemesis

Yea, 3/8" thick mild using the manifold gasket as a template. Reduced the ID by .0020" to get good grip over the gaskets. I can have them made in SS too if you would rather... Let me know. I am having half a dozen made which is gonna cost me around $350. I had more than I need made in case anybody else needed them. More importantly I am having all the flanges for my intake made. TB, Runners, and blower flanges. I am having two sets made just in case someone else w/ a stage 3 wants a manifold that flows well. They will be constructed of thin mild and ceramic coated.

Re: Hydra Nemesis

ok so I'm confused... do I need a tcu?? or do I have one sitting there hooked up for no reason? or is it only not needed when I start running the hydra?

Also, tom is it possible to push the rev limiter slightly to get the better power band area like lan was talking about?
