Help! Locked in!
Actually not any more. I managed to crawl out of the blasted trunk. Not an easy feet for someone of my stature.
I was pulling some more unneeded electrical dodads and whatnots when I started looking at the lock mechanism. I locked it in the process. Heard a nasty noise from the timer (the battery is low) and now it won't unlock either inside or with a key outside. I even unplugged the blasted timer to no avail. Any ideas on how to get it open and also how to avoid this in the future? I'm an L boy who doesn't understand the security system and all.

Ben,
I'd think you should be able to - once you've crawled back into the car - locate the electrical actuator that latches/unlatches the door and either come up with a mechanical lever to replace the actuator or adapt one of those remote systems available at BestBuys/Circuit City... -Bill

Weak battery was it. Works fine with the 95 battery now. Have other issues to deal with though

Ben,
yeah, I saw your post in the drag race thread. How many miles are on the engine again? Have you pulled the plugs to see what kind of shape they're in yet? -Bill
