Did you use the right plastic? The guy that tried to fix mine had about 8 different kinds of plastic he could of used.

radiator crack

I didn't use any rods, I cut off part of the radiator upper hose inlet(It was cracked) and used the plastic from there. It seemed to work temporarily.

aluminum radiator fabricator

Chris et al,
I still haven't gotten a response to my questions re: radiator installation and price etc. I have another...the PWR Performance I found after a quick search on Dogpile yielded this web site: http://www.pwr.com.au/pwr/main/
These guys are not in the Lake Elsinore region but the Moreno Valley. However they are fabricators of custom aluminum radiators and a number of other products. Is this the same organization?

PWR's location

The address in the string is in Lake Eksinore. A quick look at the location on Mapquest shows PWR to be not too far from the headquarters of the company I work for, Nationwide Lending Group, which is a short ways south on 15 in Murietta. I am willing to go up to Lake Elsinore next time I go to the office (I live in San Diego about 60 miles south). Would it be helpful if I went and checked the place out? Meet Clint and do some due diligence? I'm sueing the last repair facility that worked on my car because they screwed up everything they touched (twice) and now refuse to honor their warranty (fraud). So I'm a bit reluctant to commit to this project without a little more assurance. I'm now friends with the local BAR investigator and can make sure PWR produces as advertised. I have auto and motorcycle roadracing experience and I'm cynical by nature...so what do you guys think? Would you like me check the place out for you? I'm going to the office Mon. the 29th.

PWR

Yeah I could meet you down there, what's your schedule like next week? I'm fairly flexible so it's up to you. Also they could see the radiator in the car if that will help with fabrication.

Unanswered questions

I can see why Immortal_suby has "thread killa" under his name...unfortunately it is not the case that all my questions have been answered in this thread. I'm still trying to find out what, if any, relationship the Lake Elsinore PWR has with the Aussie outfit with the same name. It's one of the reasons I'm going up there. The Aussie PWR also custom makes aluminum rads and several other products. We may have other options (more cost effective) to acquire this equipment. A custom made aluminum radiator w/5 pass tranny cooler is a brilliant solution to the tranny as heat sink problem...and I really appreciate Chris setting up the group buy to get us such a nice solution to several problems...just want to make sure we'll get what we want in good order. Again, I appreciate the Network and just want to make sure no one else has the same irritating problem that Peach and I have recently experienced...getting ripped off!

PWR

The PWR web page says that they just came to the U.S. from Austrailia, so it appears they are straight up. But we will check them out real good on monday to put everyone's fears to rest.
