Its generally known that crossdrilled and slotted rotors will eventually crack. Its just how long it takes. Some cars can get away with it because the size of the rotors relative to the weight of the car is much larger, and the rotors are more effectively cooled. In this way, the temperature gradients are much lower which mean that the thermal stresses driving the cracking phenomenon are reduced, and if low enough, cracking can be delayed for a very long time.

Well we are talking about SVXs here, and there aren't a whole lot of brakes out there for em. 99% of the people reading this will be fine, cause they don't push em to the heat limits that I do on the track, heck most people here never even would think of going to the track. So as a STREET rotor they are fine. But as a RACE rotor they aren't going to cut it.

I agree totally with what Mike just said. For track use, the slotted / dimpled rotors are not a great option, but can be a big improvment for mild-moderate street use.
