'Tis true. So, are you all not going? I am still thinking of going, but not in the SVX. If my '92 were still functional (hasn't run in a year) I would put it on the road in the rain, no problem. But your Bordeaux Pearl '97 and mine are literally the only ones I've ever seen in person; would rather not take the risk driving that far in the rain.

You guys are gettin' wimpy. Wasn't there a meet back in Jurassic times that featured snow? I hear these cars have all-wheel drive, & most towns these days have car washes.

Well, since I planned my "vacation" around it, I will be there regardless of who, if anyone, shows up. No SVX, sadly, but I have matchbox cars!

I brought my crocheting to keep me occupied.

Sean told me he'd be bringing THE BOX to the meet this year. It was a requirement when buying the beast from me.

I heard there is a BBQ competition at the mall, there's the Hollywood casino across the way, there's going to be at least 2-4 of us there 😁 (not sure how accurate the Feb attendance list is)
As for rain... it wouldn't be a Reading meet without it, an I right?

Not too many showed up but those that did had a great time as usual. I met a new SVXer from SVX Nation. His name is Mike. He is from Doylestown, PA. This was Reading 25 and I wanted more people there. Diana came in her Forester and Sean came in Ron's SVX which still had his Box-O-Wine in the trunk.

I would also like to see some photos if someone have.

It's too far to drive there in my SVX, but it might feel like being there.
Nowadays, it is rare to meet SVXers in Japan.
The owners club and mailing list are gone as well.

Sorry to hear about the weather but glad that some made it out. If it's any consolation I didn't escape it either. I drove through rain for two days to get to Georgia!

It was very subdued. I pulled in around 2pm and mine was the only SVX in the lot. I was thinking this might be the shortest meet ever, no sooner did I get out of the car than another SVX pulled in. A gorgeous 28,000 mile pearly. Thing looked like new car. Nice owner with his two young kids in the back. I think his name was Dan (sorry if my memory a little off). A few minutes later LarryIII and Rosey showed up in John Hoffmans former Polo SVX. It was raining so we all went in the lobby and ate cannoli. Green Eyed Lady, joined us and we all talked in the lobby for while. Dan’s kids started harassing him so he took off.
We saw the message from Hocrest and Subbyru89 letting us know they would arrive around 5pm which was about an hour from then. They finally arrived and joined us for cannoli and conversation. Eventually decided on dinner at the Japanese Steak House and Hocrest’s sister met us there since she was local. The food was delicious. I went home after that.

So with only a few SVX and the rain there wasn’t much parking lot activity. Didn’t even get to put out yea old box of spoiler wine, (sorry Ron). But it was nice to see everyone and feel that enthusiasm around the cars. Strangers were asking about and commenting on the cars even though we only had 3 at any one time. I took a few car pics, but not many, I’m trying to figure out how to attach them (I used to used photobucket but now don’t have anywhere to upload to)

I would liked to have seen more of the old crew, and more car, but it’s understandable since the weather was bad and the event is not what it once was. I’m going to try help out more next year, try to drum up more interest via Facebook
