Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

So I was talking to that guy who recently sold his SVX with the BBS LM's on ebay Australia, and I asked him what coilovers he used to lower his car. He told me he used Ceikas, and that they have all the information needed in their computers to make another set. I emailed them last night, and they verified that they do have the dimensions of our cars and would be able to make a set whenever we wanted. They're lowest priced set is $880, and that's for everything. Since I need new struts/springs/mounts, this would be a cheaper option and would deliver much better control, not to mention that I could lower my car in the summer and raise it in the winter. Has anyone heard anything bad about this brand? The guy in Australia said they were fine. Just wanted someone else's opinion before I buy these.

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

Those are the ones I have, as do a few other people.
As I mentioned in the message I sent mine needed modifications to fit but this guy reimbursed me for those and said the design would be updated to include the right fit.
I have had no trouble with mine in the 7-8 months they have been on the car.

Yes but they're twice as expensive. 92SVX, how much modification was needed, and hows the ride quality?

You will want to find out from him if the modifications have been implemented as far as ride quality goes depends on the Springs you choose I chose heavy Springs for better handling so it's rougher than most people would like.

$880 for a bolt-in product sounds like a steal compared to $1200 + fabrication for a Koni/GC setup.

I will expand on this as I am at my computer and typing on the keyboard vs the phone screen
also I have pics.

Ok first thing I ran into was the top plate that bolts to the strut tower was the wrong dimensions, they may have been for a wrx.

I went to a local machine shop with a oem tophat and this top plate that didnt fit and had a new set made.
Then the mount to the knuckle was not the right size

My mistake when I took this to the machine shop was not having better measuring tools I told them to take 4mm off total, 2 from each side, that was incorrect I had to go back and have them take another .5 from each side, trying to force it on was a no go. even with the additional .5 off each side it was a tight fit.
and third was the bolt holes on the front knuckles. They were just slightly off needed to slot out the holes by a few mm's.
