Re: Blew out my knee

Just adding a pic for the update.
Had the surgery a week ago, and I'm just now getting to feel a little better, as I have a rough time post surgery, but I hoping the worst is over now...

If it's true that "Chicks dig scars" I'd probably be a lot more popular if i were single now....

If they shaved further down, they'd have probably cut even further

Re: Blew out my knee

best of luck and speedy recovery. hope they give you some supercharged painkillers.

i'm down with a gimp wrist from shoveling snow - i fully expected a shredded back or shoulders, but i ended up pulling/straining something in the top of my forearm.

Huck, I've only just seen this now, and I'm really sorry this has happened. Dirt hurts!

My mate Mike has a bad shoulder after getting pucked off a Honda dirt bike on Van Uatu some years ago. Stiffens up on him when we are touring long distance.

I wish you the quickest and the best recovery. Take good care of yourself and do the physio. I'm saying the prayers that they fixed you up the best.

Joe

Re: Blew out my knee

Best of luck, and hopes for a speedy recovery.

Maybe someone around here will temporarily trade you an Auto SVX for a couple of months of manual SVX use... But the trick would be to get them to trade you back.

Hey, Huck. Just read this! Real Bummer! My thoughts and prayers are with you! As someone mentioned, don't let up on the rehab! You'll regret it if you do. God's speed, my friend!

Re: Blew out my knee

Thanks Guys....
As for trading to a Auto SVX, I have the Luguna Blue one i bought to fix up for my daughter sitting here...
Still need a hood and a radiator (have a set of head light on the way, hopefully)
So I could slap my yellow hood and radiator onto it(hey at least blue and yellow was Subaru's racing colors) and drive it.....but I do have a Auto Forester I was fixing to sell, so I do at least have one auto to drive.

And Joe, I plan to do the re-hab, as I WANT my knee back into normal working condition as soon as possible, and I know that means doing what I'm told to do (I'm married, so I'm already used to that)

I'm hoping I can be back driving a manual, and at least back on my street bikes in a couple months....I figure it'll be a bit longer before I'm ready for the dirt bike, but I'll get there too!

I'll trade you, but you'll never get the yellow SVX back.

That looks nasty. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Re: Blew out my knee

Thanks for the offer Rebecca....
But I guess I'll just drive the Forester for a while

( I suppose I could swap with Randy for a while....I mean he is only a few hours away, and we all KNOW how much he loves YELLOW)
