The SVX turned a lot of heads at the salt. The pearl white looked perfect. We did 135 on highway 50 with a slight downhill. Perfect stability. There was more pedal, but not much. My co-pilot had some binoculars with him so he sort of spotted for me.
We tried a standing start 1 mile and only got to 103 mph. It was on a slight incline and at 6000 feet. I don't think we would have made the 130 club, not enough power. I suppose I have taken a couple years off of the car's life. It took 4 hours to wash off the salt after being on it for 4 days. I used a product called Salt Away that worked pretty well. I sure would like a 92 pearlie to convert to 400 hp 5 spd some how. Ken |
