Maybe he was just so tired after dusting off all the competition, then having to explain what he did to his car to everyone that he beat...

sorry.....

I didnt post for a couple of reasons.

1. I only have dial up at home. I what til I get to work and have high speed to post.

2. I wanted to talk to Mike and Tom about what happened.

I made 2 passes with disappointing results. The first pass ripped the tranny bolt that goes through the starter out. the starter was barly holding on. This is also the bolt that holds the large ground. After barrowing a few tools and making a few quick repairs, I made a second pass. I started out great. I was lined up beside an SRT4. Heres the results:

..........SRT4.................................... .StageIII
R/T .664 1.041 <--- I fell asleep at the tree
60' 2.669 2.088 <--- Where the SRT go??
330 7.527 6.564 <--- Video a 2 car lead
1/8 11.018 10.461 <--- Power started dropping
MPH 72.74 62.50
1000 13.962 13.850 <--- Hey there's that SRT
1/4 16.408 16.754
MPH 91.55 76.38

Mike and I both think it's a fuel issue. I have video fraom about the 330ft point, anyone what to help me post it? 8.34Mb

I'm sorry to read about this. I hope you can get your bugs solved asap and run a better time next time.

Did you get your dad to go as well? The SRT4 time was not very good also.

Did you upgrade your fuel system? Send Earthworm a PM or the file, I think he shld be happy to host it for ya.

Not enough fuel, I'm guessing? Maybe started detonating so the computer retards timing, reducing power? Or too much, so that the car bogged?

Whatever it was, we're all confident you guys will get it ironed out. Part II should be even more interesting, hopefully By the sounds of it, if the power hadn't dropped off, you never would have seen that SRT-4 again until after the race...

No, I dont have a wide band and the boost gauge isnt hooked up yet. I'm also going to get a fuel pressure gauge to see what it's doing, if the trouble shooting method Mike metioned doesnt prove anything.

its what i expected out of it, your trap are way way slow, you learn a lot abought a car on what it traps,

the faster your 60's the slower the traps and vise versa,

i hope it holds together for you on the next runs and you break under 2.0 60's

looking at the #'s it sounds more and more like a fuel issues at High Rpm's. Either the FP is dropping or it is jumping. I think it is jumping due to the fact that there is no check valve in the Vaccum actuated FPR. So high boost and RPMs = FP too high. Bogging the motor. Just a hypothesis but a good possibility. BTW with turing all 4's off the line and looking at the traps it is easy to say the car lacked top end more than anything

Big fuel pump, big injectors, FPR that increases FP with increasing rpms, 2V5 chip....was it drowning in fuel at the finish line? How did it drive on the drive home?

stock fuel pump... larger injectors... stock FPR...Stage 3 software(takes care of fuel and timing specifically for the kit). Since I do not know if Mike(LAN) programed the fuel maps to go along with the increase in FP(boosting FPR) I cannot say anything for sure. Lets just wait for some results from their troubleshooting

Tom
