I have seen that movie but to be honest I was motivated by the thought of how uninvolved the majority is in their own communities. It just seems ridiculous that so many people rely solely upon the media for the info they use to vote. It's a damn sight easier to snowball a few people and have the remainder believe the story passed down to them than it is to convince everyone directly. Then there is the building of compassion and understanding that comes from being directly involved.

I truly believe our founding fathers had a lot more compassion and insight due to their direct involvement with their peers. It was considered poor form and suspect to announce one's candidacy, being nominated by others was the only respectful and honored way to gain public office. That could only happen because people were involved in their community.

The rewards from this or a similar plan are boundless.

Some people are sick enough that they can not make sound decisions and should be forced to leave, because otherwise they may die, and guess who would get the blame. Yep, Bush. People forget that we ARE responsible for our own actions and sometime the results may not be fair, but they are what they are. One thing that I have learned in this is that far too many people expect someone else to look out after them.


I cringe to think if CNN, & its ilk were around with its instant hindsite during the Galveston disaster. Teddy Roosevelt would have been accused of speaking too softly, & carrying a miniscule stick.
To those who expect the g'mint to take care of everything, it's been done before. It was called it the USSR.
