Regrets
This is for all of the oldtimers who migrated here from the Yahoo SVX site.
It is with deep regrets that I report the following: John Shotsky, long time SVXer, and now moderator of the Yahoo SVX site was in an accident with his '93, Anniversary Edition, SVX. Thankfully he is OK, but his SVX was totaled. He has decided to sell it and will not get another. I hope that he remains as part of our SVX family.

That is a terrible loss but at least the most important thing was unharmed - him.
Hoping that he stays in touch with the SVX world - he has played an invaluable role over the years James

Sorry for the SVX and Glad for John's safety... I wish nobody gets in the same situation as john did. Take Care of yourselves before your cars... we are more important, without us they cannot be driven!!

I am so sorry to hear of John's loss. I am also very glad to hear he is ok. I too hope that he stays in the SVX family. He is a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for the news Larry.

I too am glad John is OK.
This is yet another story of an SVX that shielded its driver from serious injury. From experiences I know of, I believe SVXs are safer than the average car. Unfortunately, there were not enough of them produced for the insurance companies to get statistical crash data on them. Whenever I look for crash data on the SVX, instead of "Excellent", "Good", "Fair", or "Poor", it has always had "N/A".

Glad to hear that he is ok. I have yet to hear of anyone sustaining any serious injuries in an SVX crash. And I know those who have rolled them at triple digits and literally walked away from them. It's a darn shame that there are no insurance statistics on them. I bet our premiums would be a lot less if there were.

When I was reading the first post of this thread I thought something happened to John. I was quite releaved to learn it was only his car and that he was fine.
