Tansmission Cooler & Filter
Can someone tell me where I can get an external transmission fluid cooler and filter, especially at a good price? What can I expect to pay for each? Exactly what kind should I look for (specs and brand names)?
How often should the filter by changed? -Brian

I have used the PermaCool filter (it has a port for a temp meter sensor) and there are a couple of coolers that are probably about the same when it comes to quality. I got my parts from Northern Auto Parts. Their web site is at Northernautoparts.com. Phone is 800-831-0884. Filter is about $35.00 and cooler is about $50.00. You can do a search to find out the different sizes and brands used by members.

For the most part, they all will, as long as they have a fitting that is the size of the hoses used.
