Curious about soft whirling noise, drivers side interior.

I have had this noise for a while. I notice it when I start the car, it is soft whirling or creaking noise for a few seconds and then quiet for a second and then starts again and continues like this for a while. It is coming from somewhere under the dash on the drivers side. I hardly notice it anymore and seem tune it out to the point that I am not even sure if it goes away or not, but it is definitely there when I start the car and I can hear it better with the climate control off. I was thinking it might be one of those small motors trying and failing to move vent positions sliders but I'm not sure.

I was just wondering what it might be. It is something that I can definitely live with, but I would fix if it is something easy.
