Subaruparts.com vs 1stsubaruparts.com - same?

1stsubaruparts operates out of Walker Subaru out of Renton, WA.
Subaruparts operates out of Bruce Titus Automotive Group out of Olympia, WA

Both have identical parts database and user interface, shopping cart, etc so that's why I was just curious if there is a connection.

Thanks.

Well their interface is different depending on where you look. Subaruparts.com has our cars listed in a catalog form which is awesome. 1stsubaruparts lists the SVX parts as it does all Subaru parts - which is where subaruparts.com is identical. This layout is common as I have encountered it for many different dealerships and the like.

ok, copy that.

I wish both sites would list the p/ns so that you can go over your list and make sure that everything has been ordered. Some of their generic descriptions make it hard to know what part I just ordered!

Thanks.

Re: Subaruparts.com vs 1stsubaruparts.com - same?

You could probably do a search and eventually find the thread on this, I think the guy that runs 1stsubaruparts joined and posted here when he started it years and years ago.

I might be remembering wrong, but I think the guy that set up subaruparts.com at the Tacoma dealership (owned by Titus in Olympia) moved on after a couple years and set up 1stsubaruparts.com at another dealership. He also claimed at the time to be able to offer even lower prices than his old web site.

Not sure what was behind the move, maybe it was just a matter of him moving 50 miles north. But looks like he was able to set up a fairly similar service at his new dealership employer.

Both of these sites kinda irk me as they do not allow in-person pickups to avoid their extreme shipping fees. But if you are buying enough expensive stuff, the cost of shipping is eventually offset by the savings on the parts.

Re: Subaruparts.com vs 1stsubaruparts.com - same?

I get all the P/Ns I need from the subaruparts.com catalog and then input all the part numbers into 1stsubaruparts.com. When I ordered about $220 in parts a few months ago, I saved about $20 by checking out 1stsubaruparts Might not be all that much but every little bit you can save on these cars is great
