Driveline repairs almost finished

Okay, I'm just posting this to see what people think of my situation.

As some of you may remember my U-joints went out in my driveline awhile back. I've since taken out the entire driveline and am in the process of converting the "staked" or "mashed" in U-joints with a sort-of conversion to clips. (basically the clips are on the inside of the yoke instead of the outside) My slip yoke was completley thrashed so I got a new one from the local driveline specialists but unfortunatley it takes a different size U-joint then the conversion ones I bought from Rockford Driveline. So they are going to cut off and weld on a corresponding size yoke to the driveshaft side to match the new joint on the new size slip yoke. All for about $180. Not bad considering the local repair shop I used to go to wanted to charge $550 for a new driveline from the local Suby dealership. So now tomrrow after work I am going to pick up my driveline and put it back in. Then I'm going to go to the local Checker Auto and buy a CV boot kit. *sigh* I'm just hoping that if I keep working on it during the summer it will eventually get fixed enough to start "upgrading" the car. (like exhaust n' such) Also, after I fixed to two side garnish problems caused by the previous owner's need to epoxy the car together (thanks for the diagrams again Randy) I noticed the plastic top part to the radiator had some pretty green stuff leaking out of it. Will the fun never cease? Oh well, signing off for now...
