I had a problem with Kinetic as well

cliff notes version...

product arrived very damaged was told send back we will refund upon reciept

was not the case I waited about a month for a refund (after filing a claim with paypal) when it should been within a week

something about the guy who handles the refunds is separate from the parts I forget exactly

the refund guy had an attitude the other didnt ??

Actually umm..

Well, Mike's business is sort of on a smaller, one man scale, while Dayle has a full scale shop and storefront. We have to put this into perspective.

I cannot offer an unbiased judgement about Mikes work I suppose, but from what I see, he does his best for a one man operation.

As for another issue... Dayle.. Where are my Alcyone mats (again)?

My mother had ordered me the "Alcyone logo" mats from Motorsport for Christmas. Dayle was friendly with my mother, and assured her that there would be a good match.

A few weeks later, the mats came in with BRIGHT RED ALCYONE LOGOS

I cannot seem to find pics of the first mats on my computer, but regardless, I showed them to a couple people to make sure I was not crazy.

I was a bit annoyed I suppose, as the order form reflected that the mats should have been made with Claret logos, and I held onto the form.

I called Dayle, and he assured me that the logos were Claret, but, if I wanted, I could send them back and he would have a new set made. I sent them back a week or so later, and another set was already on its way.

I opened them to see this:

As you can see, they were not even close to matching my car. The email exchange went as follows.

Dayle, I recieved the mats.
Its more orange this time. I'd ask for a refund totally, because > Im getting a bit frustrated with it, being as it again bears no > resemblance >to my car, but Ill just take White logos. Just like how the > stock mats >were. white logos. Call me.

Okay....
and lets put things a little more into perspective:

First, you "Pics" are of the 1st set of mats we shipped
clearly they where made with the wrong color thread

Ill post pics tomorrow of the SECOND set, and color
you ALSO turned away...

I dont make the mats, and the manufacturer clearly'
used red instead of claret on the FIRST set of mats
(their mistake, no biggie...**** happens)
2,they promptly made more a replacement set
& the SECOND set match perfectly the Claret cars
I sent another customer with a Claret car a matching
pair of mats that I sent you, and he loves them
Color is perfect.
3rd, I was nice enough to let you return the 2nd set
that does match (Ill post pics of them Sat) in place
of a set with Silver logos, which btw, I just got your
returned set back 1 day ago. Its been so long since
we talked last I figured you had look at them again
(like the other person who got a set) and realized
the color was dead on.
These mats where custom made and I shouldnt have
to take back the set that does correctly match, but Im
also doing you a favor by offering you a set of mats
now with a silver logo.
If you think Im hard to deal with (which Im not sure you are implying or not ) buy your next Svx item from
Kinetic, and see how well it goes
Im posting the pics of the correct mats tomorrow for sure.
You do recall that I dont personally make you mats in house correct ? and I was ontop of remedying the issue via phone the day you called and followed thru with the
new set right away? just making sure....

Here, here Earl. This should have been handled via PM, not on the site

From this thread it's obvious to me NO ONE is perfect. I'm locking this as I cannot see it being helpful to getting the issue resolved.
