Ohio has become as famous as Michigan for their job market. From what the rest of us hear, it blows... really bad there for jobs.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to move. Jump in your car, take your things, and make a 1 way trip to Phoenix. Unemployment is like negative 6,000 percent down there. They will fall over you trying to hire you. And from what I hear, they actually have parking there. They can't drive, but neither can you.

Or Vegas, Job market out here is smokin' too.

What's holding you? Look out your window... what's holding you besides that snow mound piled up in front of your driveway? The security of being unemployed and behind on your rent?

Tell them all you'll send them a check once you get settled in. Throw away that heavy jacket and gloves, and start living. (It was literally 74 degrees today, which is 14 degrees below our all time record of 88 on this day.)

Your nightmares will go away.

You won't be running away dude, you'll be running toward.

Lemme elaborate. Columbus is not growing. Just the opposite. Companies are leaving there. It's cold, the traffic is bad, the tax base is insane, the workforce is full of unions that benefits only the people running the union.

They are moving to warmer climates, to low taxes and virgin land. That's out here. Phoenix and Vegas are the top two fastest growing cities in the country. The top slot flip flops every year or two for the last decade.

This equates to Jobs, money, and security for the work force.

Do it dude. Put the fears behind you and make the leap. You'll regret it about as much as the rest of us who made the leap. Which is ... uhhh.. somewhere between none, and non-existant regret.

Do it...... do it.

A bunch of that silly talk about workplace afternoon siestas, etc., is true.

I've been way too tired to dream much lately.

Maybe I could use a little more stress.

I take it back.

I had the weirdest dream about my own version of Half Life 2 that involved me running around trying to save the world from alien invasion.

I have friends in Phoenix.. I'm in the army reserves though, and our unit is on a stop-loss meaning nobody's allowed to leave the unit because we could be called to go any second. Maybe once that's lifted or we go and come back I'll consider moving out there or somewhere.
