Gearbox Needed!
Hi,
I recently bought an SVX and shortly afterwards the high clutch welded itself together. I have had it checked out and its time for a rebuild or a replacement. Does anyone know of any SVX 4EAT or Legacy 4EAT boxes for sale anywhere? If you know of any, or of a breakers which might be able to help please let me know asap! Thank you |

Hi Rolling Project.
Welcome to the Network, I have not seen you post before. I'm currently having gearbox work done myself, and I don't know of any spare box around, but I'll ask. If you find a Legacy 4EAT, be careful before you buy it. It will have a lower final drive ratio, so you will need the rear diff also to match. As well as that, 4EATs can have different internals, different clutch material for the more powerful ones. In other words, a 4EAT from a turbo car will be the most useful for you. Joe

There's a place in High Wycombe advertising on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=4609541084 Be sure that the gearbox you buy is the same type as the one you are replacing. The UK and Japanese SVX gearboxes are wired differently and are not directly interchangeable. Reconditioning your existing gearbox will cost around £1600 all inc. Welcome to the world of SVX ownership
