removing side emblems

Has anybody gone and removed the side emblems taht say "subaru SVX" on them?

how would i go about doing this?

It bothers me that everywhere on my car is new paint except those two panels, and if i want to get it painted later (front end is scratched up and nearly all black from 3 accidents)

plus, i think it'd look cooler without those two things

A lot of people take them off - I for one. I just hate those glued on things. They look so cheap and tacky. The car looks much cleaner after removing them.

The best way to remove them is with a hair dryer - just be careful not to get the plastic panel too hot. And if you are careful, you can reuse the Subaru SVX label on something like a tool box carried in the car. Or put it up in the garage. Multiple good uses - except on the car!!

Then there are other folks that like the pureness of keeping the car totally stock in appearance. And I can appreciate that too.

Another easy way to remove them is to use a long piece of dental floss between the emblem and the body and "saw" your way through the adhesive. You can then remove any left over adhesive with WD40 or something similar

Goo-Gone or something similar works good to remove the residue after you remove the emblems.

My (car's) front end is nearly all black too.
