headlight lenses

I don't know about other states but here in colorado your headlight lenses end up looking like fogged moonscapes due to sand and rock as well as chems to keep the roads clear in winter. I read every thread I could find and this worked ok. 1000 wet sandpaper then 1500 then 2000 followed up by Kit-Scratch Out a haze and scratch remover for clearcoats. I tried to seperate the lense from the bulb housing but quit after stabbing my thumb 2 stitch worth (used butterflies instead) of coarse I cut my knuckles a few places replacing the assembly. All in all worth a little blood.

Mike,

I'm doing some R&D on Glass headlights for the SVX. They will be normal headlight thickness (about 3/8") so they should be unaffected by normal stones.

I'll keep everyone informed of how things are going.
