Yet ANOTHER odd request

What disolves RTV?

Background info: I've been asked to change the windows in the Peacekeeper Armored Vehicles owned by the US Marshalls Special Ops Group (BIG guys, well armed) and the method I've been told to use sounds iffy at best. Is there is a chemical that readily disolves or softens RTV (Silicone, Acrylic, Urethane)

Odd question I know.

I would think...hrm... good question. Why do you want to dissolve it??? Normally when replacing automotive glass you push a needle through it, then zip this sharp wire all the way around the glass, which basically cuts the seal. Then you jsut lift it out.

This glazing is 2" thick and fits in a frame that's got a 90 Degree angle to it so the Garote method isn't going to work for me. I was hoping it would tho'

Thanks
