Smile Technical Info

Hi everyone this is my first post. I recently got a 1992 teal SVX with 120k mi.

The only problem this car had was the rear axle binding in turns.

After talking to a transmission shop who had worked on one of these cars with this problem it didn't look very promising to me, because he had changed the clutch pack TWICE and could not cure the binding in that car which was a 1997.

Did not know a thing about this car, so i searched the net and found this site among others

Then i saw your posts about using the friction modifier for differentials.

Seeing how that was what i was about to try anyway, but not knowing what might happen using it in a transmission, it was very enlightening to see all the positive posts about using it.

SUCCESS! It worked almost immediatly. I took the car out to an open lot and started to do some tight turns and the binding completly stopped!

It has been a few weeks now and the car runs just fine.

I would like to thank everyone here for having a forum like this and hope i can be of some help as well.

Attached and in my locker is a pdf document on the transmission that i found on the web.

Also here is a link to a site with Subaru technical documents

http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/t...s/pdf/pdf.html

Hope it's of some help and thanks again. -- ZMan
