James's new SVX owner has arrived!!!
Hello all!
My name is Jason, and I am the (VERY!) proud new owner of the immaculate, 1992 SVX that Jamsvx has just sold. My apologies for not posting earlier, but I have been doing a LOT of driving lately!!! What can I say - quite simply a FANTASTIC car! For me, the most impressive thing about the SVX is not the comfort, or the refinement, or the effortless power, but the way that other people react to it when it is out on the road! If I had a dollar for every time that another motorist has stared directly at the SVX when in traffic........! I don't plan to sell this car for a VERY long time!! (By the way James, the Climate Control is still working perfectly!!) I have spent yesterday taking some photos of my SVX, and they will be appearing in my Personal Locker shortly. Jason. |

Hi Jason!
HI Jason
I also love the head turning power of svx but it is more noticeable when you are in a convoy, going on a sunday arvo cruise and you see someone look at the front car and then another and anothe comes past and ze jaw drops....ahhh Had the BEST race with a green p-plate commodore yesterday afternoon. Was on Pacific hwy at Lindfield and front at lights with p plater next to me. they kept revving and i was pretending that i wasn't in. I took Blakes advice last time i filled up and used octane boost which more than paid off when i floored it and left them for dead...... looking forward to a drive!

Those green P-Platers - they're everywhere!!
But as they flash past you, you can see their heads swivel around as they check out the SVX!!! I will admit that I have been taking many people on at the lights now. It is very nice to drive a car that has THREE TIMES the power and THREE TIMES the torque of the car that I was previously driving! Jason. |

Welcome Jason.
I see you are enjoying your car, as we all do. Have fun, but do take care, the laws of physics still apply, even in SVX Neverland. For me, the best part is the relaxed cruise, and the way the body weight is controlled at speed. James will have told you all the things to do. And not do. Be wary of panic braking from over 100, it tends to warp the front rotors. Enjoy, man, you are in an elite club as an SVX owner. We are a rare bunch. Well, medium rare anyway Joe

G'Day Jason, welcome to our little 'Clutch'(What do you call a group of SVX's?)
I'll refrain from warnings of doom and gloom for the moment as you sound to be having too much fun. As soon as I get mine back together, I'll try to be out there with the rest of you, and hey, I've got my license back! Just going to say hello to mister cruise control Arthur.

Well it's about darned time!
WELCOME JASON! As I told moshols (when I responded to him, mistakenly thinking that he was the new owner), you've got some big shoes to fill in taking over Jame's car. I consider him something of a "spiritual SVX son." I watched him flourish from his SVX chasing years in his Camry, to his eventual ownership and, now, to his parting with his beloved SVX. It saddens me terribly that he has parted with it, but the sadness is tempered by the fact that he has found a spirit that is kindred to the rest of us obsessive SVX enthusiasts. I dream, some day, of coming to Oz and meeting you guys, as well as traveling to Ireland to meet up with my good friend Joe, and to London to throw back a few pints with that contingient. Again, welcome and may you remain as happy tomorrow as you are today, with your new and exciting acquisition.

Andy, A visit with you is a given. Especially considering, if I make it to London, I'll probably get pissed, wander east, fall into the channel and float in your direction.
