When we get to a total of twenty

I'll make a trip over to RENO to scout out a drive. (unless there's someone that is local that has an idea or two) Maybe a summer mini meet to have some fun and make some plans?

Your idea here:____________________________________

PING Thundermountain SVX!!!

Hey Michelle,

Could you PM me? I don't want you to think that this has been totally taken over! Nothing is written in stone yet and we could still use your input and help. This was, for all that don't know, Michelle's brain storm durning our GJ meet a couple of months back. I just felt I was in a postion to start something on it.

I've been looking at your car all month on my calendar!! Sure is a cool color!!!

Skiing

Hey Benebob, When I was in Tahoe a few years ago, the lady at the visitor center told me that it has snowed every day of the year in some year. Get your wax out. How cool. Mid June ,Ski rack and skis on the roof, driving west through the Kansas corn fields with corn growing in them. Take care, BOBB

That is a thread I started for people to sign up for the meet. No discussion allowed in that thread. We'll keep that in this thread so we don't get too many threads going at once.

Sound good?

Hah! I wish it snowed every day of the year in Tahoe. All the resorts close late April-early May. But Squaw usually opens up the top of the mountain over the 4th of July holiday for one last ski bash. The snow is slushy and you ski in a t-shirt. The best part is the giant hot tub at high camp at the top of the tram. Skiing and girls in bikinis make a good combination.

I'd have to take the XT then. It's my ski vehicle. My stinking brother just left for Chile and Argentina for work for a couple of months. Of course he took his skis.

Lake Tahoe

I love it out there! Me and my wife were just there skiing at Squaw Valley U.S.A. in Febuary. I was also out there last summer as well, drove up from LA to Reno up the PCH. Too bad it was not in my SVX. Ahh, someday I will be living out there, till then I will have to make my bi or yearly trips out there. So who knows, I might show up. If not hope everyone has fun!

I'm up for this, thrid week of June ought to work out well, it's when pretty much every college is out and generally after everyone has partied themselves silly. I'm personally up for a nice drive through Old Truckee, 30 or so SVX's would make that an interesting little event. Right up off 80 past Tahoe Donner, on through whatever side-road that is and straight on to Boomtown and Reno. Sorry, getting carried away here, haven't been up there in 6 months and I'm getting antsy. But yeah, contact me @ chrisden@chrisdenise.com and I'l help put stuff together, plan, etc. I've been waiting for a meet in a beautiful area like that.

It'll be vaguely chilly, but seriously folks, let's not plan for skiing here, I've only been up there in June once when there was enough dirty frost lying around that you could ski on, not to burst bubbles here, but there are plenty of other things available. Hiking, Race tracks, gambling... gambling... some more gambling, Reno is kind of a small less flashy version of Vegas, so plan accordingly, that's all. Hope this works!
