What's the right price?
How much would you pay for a 5MT swapped svx with 123k, its a 92 in great condition as far as I can tell through pictures, stock other than the tranny of course, black w/ gray interior... so I wanna know how much real svx owners think it's worth? also how much does the swap cost if you do the work yourself and just need the parts?

The prices for a swapped SVX can vary greatly, depending on the parts used (custom xmember or smallcar kit?) Do you know what transmission they swapped in? (from what car? mileage?) What kind of clutch? How many miles on the swap? Hydraulic or cable setup? 5mt SVX prices have ranged from 1500 to 10000, depending on the level of completion, craftsmanship of custom parts, and most importantly, the general mechanical and consmetic condition of the car. My suggestion would be to search around the forum in previous "for sale" threads to get a general idea/ basis to compare them to what you are looking at. Much luck with the prospective purchase. Please post more details, keep us informed!

I have to agree with Mike. Prices can really vary as some 5spd swaps are hack-jobs, and others are extremely clean and almost OE quality.
One other thing, unless you've seen and driven the car in person, it'll be hard to determine a 'right price'. -Chike

It really depends but even an ugy 5mt is worth at least 2k. A wrecked one is worth 1500. SO base your judgement from there. Don't forget that just because it has a different trans doesn't mean that the car is flawless, check all the other parts that are known for explosion to see if they have been replace of upgraded

And don't forget that just because it has a different tranny, it may not have been done right. That has been the case around here. Be careful and don't rush. Check it out carefully.
