Chris,
I first entered the SVX fraternity via Yahoo and the performance of their site did not impress at all. It was some time before I became aware as to how this server was operated. I was absolutely staggered when I learned of the amateur nature of the operation having sampled the absolute reliability and performance you have provided. I can only hope that you receive maximum enjoyment from what must be an all consuming hobby. However I am sure that many, especially newcomers do not realise what they are getting provided for free. In another thread I have given thanks to others in the boiler room and I am not surprised that you have added credits for them in this thread again indicating your generosity. I am very disappointed that there has been no other congratulations added to this thread. If some may consider me as a stirrer by saying this, so be it, I am not concerned. I consider you deserve a more prompt response. Sincerely. Trevor. P.S. Chris, I have had a thought. There will be many, probably the majority participating here, who are unaware of exactly how this facility operates. There will be others like myself, who would be very interested to have some technical details. In particular how you have, on a shoe string, ingeniously put together a server which is so absolutely and amazingly reliable. The real interest will be how you have improvised, often it would appear using second hand gear. Please when you have time could you post some details. Preferably in a form which will remain permanently available to visitors and newcomers. This IS interesting stuff which is sadly missing. Again, THANKS. Trevor.

I've gotta agree! Chris really knows how to keep this place running, often at the expense of his own free time and occasionally money. I can only think of 1 short down time since this became our home away from yahoo! I can't think of any other place I visit that can boast that kind of record.
Keep up the good work. Hope you can make it to Reno in 2004 so we can thank you in person.

Chris
Wow,
thanks Chris, as Trevor said, I am new here and I was not aware of the work that you put in, for all of us. Trevor says things so well that all I can do is too add my gratutude. Kenn Also as Trevor stated, for the newies it would be nice to have some form of history and tech page. It's so easy just to take for granted the hard work that people put into their and our hobbies. |

And it should also be time to pass the hat & reward Chris with the wherewithall that allows us to save tons 'o bucks by exchanging repair knowledge & "cheap" parts. I don't know if any of the newcomers realize that donations are what keeps the hard drive spinning. But, I don't know who is now acting as collections officer.
Aredub, any enlightenment? Ron.

Anyone with paypal can easily make a donation to Chris for his time and money in keeping the network alive. In the past I have used c_town@hotmail.com in paypal to go directly to Chris.
(I hope posting that doesn't get me in trouble, but you deserve some help, Chris - and you're too modest to ask for it) Using paypal@subaru-svx.net will go to the official svx network treasury which will then divy up the funds with part of it going to the cost of running this server.

I will also say thanks again for a wonderful site. I too take it for granted that the site is always up and running. I have found many other sites that I use to be down from time to time, but not this one. My hat is off to Chris for this incredible job with what little money there is for it.
I will also put in a plug for the SVX World Network membership. It can be found at : http://www.svxworldnetwork.org/ You can find more links and can join the Organizaton and get a real membership card. This money all helps towards the site, server and other computer costs. It is not required, but it will help keep us strong. Thanks Trevor for bringing this informaton up again. It needs to be done from time to time. You will notice that our numbers keep growing and more people are getting more information and learning about this impressive and special car.

I would also like to thank Chris. Dealing with Yahoo was becoming quite frustrating. Now we all seem to take for granted the time and effort that is put into running this site with no noticeable downtime.
Thanks again Chris Keith |

Yo the man!
Let me add my thanks also. Everything has been said above, but the backroom boys here take some beating.
I have seen notices about pending downtime, but never actually experienced it. Things happen that quick. Thank you for a wonderful service. Take a bow, Chris and staff. Joe

Thanks, Chris
Joining others to give you thanks for administering a great server not only reliable but fast and responsive 24/7. Ample proof of this is the abundance of messages in a rich variety of forums and no mention of the player behind the scene!
