I repainted mine, and although they don't exactly match, but almost... enough to look way better than stock. Basically, pop them off, take them into an auto parts store, and find the silver that matches the best. Then sand them decently (you don't have to get ALL the old paint off, just get everything throughly throughly scuffed), and spray away. I did 1 light coat and 1 heavier coat, that always seems to work the best for me.

If you have any questions feel free.

re: do the whole rim

i'd recommend to do the whole rim, should not be that terribly expensive.

what paints can stand up to the abuse the rims recieve? Heat, brake dust, dirt and so on.

Most any paint. I myself used a silver paint that was specifically designed for wheels, it looked like it would actually match the silver best. It isn't perfect, but I'd say its 95% of the way there, which is good enough for me. Getting the whole wheel painted would be rather expensive, as in order to do it right you'd have to get them sandblasted, fix any curb rash, etc. :|

I got it from Checker Auto.... and its located in the spray paint section, and its special spray paint specifically for wheels. You can't miss it. Get SILVER.

I had saved the following from an earlier post on this same subject as my 94 LSI is being painted asI write.

Plasti-Kote Import Color paint code “Datsun 5412” matches the 94 silver wheels perfectly.

I am not certain but I do not think they ever changed the wheel color.

I went the wheel recondition route and had them sandblasyed and powder coated anew. $140 per rim. They came out perfect and I bought new center caps.

They did. Later SVXs had a 'lighter' colored silver if I remember correctly.

Maybe someone here needs them. I'd prefer to save my $ for a new suspension.
