just a lil curious

Im going to begin making the SVX my own pretty soon, and I am really not a fan of the green lights in the console, I know that i can get a new guage set that glows blue.. but can i make like all the buttons by the climate control light up blue in any way?

you can get reverse guages...
as for all the other lights...i have heard/seen nipples that you put over the bulbs (which some if not all the bulbs are done) which can change the colour..
but i dont remember where i saw that....

but like if anyone knows of where to find those and like a how to doc describing how to get that **** out without breaking my precious i would love to see it : )

i really like having a unique car and thats why i chose the SVX : D

i remembered it was one of those words that are thought of differently. but it was on ebay i remember..it's not there anymore.

When you say console, what lights are you talking about? The ones that are on both sides of the steering wheel, or the climate control?

like the climate control buttons and stuff, i know that the big temp display probably cant be changed but like the lights inside the buttons for which heat setting maybe? I dunno if that can be done?

Oh man I know exactly what your talking about. I want to do the same thing. I have white face reverse blue gauges. I would love to do the rest of my dash blue as well. I do remember looking at the buttons by the steering wheel. And each button had seperate bulbs for green and orange. All you would need to do is find some blue bulbs to replace them with. the climate control buttons light up green and when you select a button they change to Orange. I would like to make mine blue and when you select the button they change to red. I just need to find the bulbs.

see i didnt know there was 2 seperate bulbs, if it was possible it would be pretty nice to have like one light up blue... then have the other light up light blue : D

anyone know the bulb number??? and if this can even be done at all...?

Actually they are white (clear) bulbs with green condoms over them. This is what Death spoke of earlier. Do a search for "radio shack bulbs" and you should find the part number for the clear bulbs.

meh.. whether green or blue etc they still keep me warm or cool. I wouldn't risk breaking stuff just to have little blue lights.

i was asking so that i could gauge the difficulty of this lil idea of mine..
