Rear Wheel Bearings Poll...
Since owning my '96 L for over 5 months now, I been carving up a few roads and haven't noticed any failure of my rear wheel bearings. I had Dave (red95svx) pull the warranty work done on my car by the previous owner over the years and the bearings appear to be the original...
My poll is very simple, have your bearings ever failed and if so which MY SVX do you own? -Chike P.S. I'm wondering if failure of the rear bearings steadily fell off over the MYs with little or no failures in the OBDII SVXs.

I have 1 '92 with 215k and still original bearings (running aftermarket rims with 48mm offset) And I drive it hard and corner hard.
I have another '92 with 145k and had to replace multiple bearings until finally replacing both hubs - haven't had a bearing failure since. This is the wife's car, on stock rims, and driven pretty conservatively.

I've only owned my 92 for 2 years, her records show her wheel bearings were changed several years ago.

Mine have gone out a year or so ago, and before that the previous owner changed them 5 times.

The left rear wheel bearing was roaring like a freight train when I bought my '92 at just over 104,000 miles, and the right rear wasn't far behind. No troubles since they were replaced.

1 bearing replaced by previous owner, 1 replaced by me. After that I've had 50,000 trouble free miles.

Can't vote. Stupid computer won't let me and I don't even live in freakin' Florida. My 95 with 141k on the odo has the original bearings as best I can tell and I'm quite hard on my cars as far as my driving style goes.
