A special 5 speed
This car is the result of a lot of love on my part, and a lot of input from this board.
This board introduced me to both the SVX and quality internet forums, and it marks the end of an era for me. It's kind of sad. I know I haven't been around much, and most current forum members don't know me. But you guys are still pretty special to me, and I appreciate you. I'm the guy who built the SVreX in 2004 and broke into the 13's at the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge. I've since sold the Rex, and this is the car I built to replace it. I've put more than 20,000 miles on it since the build, so I'm pretty confident in it. It also has a bit of movie history! Anyway, I hope you all appreciate this car, and am looking forward to it going to a good home. I'm not sure if all the links are working from the new board to my new email. I can be reached through the Ebay ad if the PM's don't reach me. Thanks for your interest! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280736738660

Well... it was sadder not driving it!
It's time for someone else to enjoy it.

Re: A special 5 speed
Wow- nearly 900 views and the price is still not much more than the Konis + the flywheel and clutch. <Sigh>

Re: A special 5 speed
I sold a 72 mustang mach 1 for my father in law on ebay. It was bought by someone in texas who had a shipper come and get it.
I think what helped most with that sale making good money was that I took a video of the car starting, revving, idling, and driving and uploaded it to youtube and video with links to the video in the auction. It wasn't getting too much interest, and then after putting up the video it shot up real quick and sold for 19,700.

Re: A special 5 speed
That's a good word.
I work hard on my EBay ads to give lots of info, and answer questions quickly and accurately. But I haven't tried video. I may give it a shot.

Re: A special 5 speed
I will ask you the same question I asked about the pearl on ebay. Any idea what your custom tranny can handle in the way of HP? Do you have a closeup of the fender damage?

Re: A special 5 speed
I know you guys are right about waiting till the end, but it still feels weird to see 1500 views and 6 bids.
I would, however, love to see immortal_suby (or other forum member) have it.

What fender damage? Other than perhaps dings, there is no fender damage.

Re: A special 5 speed
It's what I had in the Pearly (where it still is, afaik!) and it stood up to a few full seasons of autocross and some substantial use. I'd trust it to hold up to a stockish EG33 with no question.
