not familar with electronic climat controles...
I was wondering when you use the auto setting for heat is it or is it not suppose to come from the vents as well? my vent setting works fine and when i use Auto i can hear the blower motor going but not much comes out of the vents, I'm wondering if there's an issue.

Re: not familar with electronic climat controles...
That's normal, the heat only comes out of the floor vents. I don't much like it either.

Re: not familar with electronic climat controles...
Yeah another case of subaru designers knowing whats best for us..... yes heat goes UP but heat also burns feet if you cant switch to vent at some point.
And while im at it, thanks for the cupholders. |

Re: not familar with electronic climat controles...
At least the AC blows out of the top vents.

Re: not familar with electronic climat controles...
There is some sense to the designed arrangement. The object of using only the lower heat outputs, will be to prevent heat being applied directly to the sensors involved when the system is being controlled automatically. Otherwise an even distribution of heat could not be achieved.
It has also been established that heat directed to upper areas can cause drowsiness in the driver. My old Subaru FF1 has only heat, but fresh air can be simultaneously delivered via top vents and this is a distinct advantage.
