Anyone who has their car repainted, on average how much did it cost. Iam tyin to get a prismatic black paint on the car. I know the paint will be more expensive but the actual painting itself how much?

that's a tough question to answer.... if you have a black car and do'nt care if the outer black matches with the inner black, you might go with maaco and that'll be about a grand with the paint (yeah i said maaco, if your car has no dents or dings, they do a real good job spraying.....), or if you want to match the door sills and everything then you'd take it to a pro painter and the labor would be about 2k... and if you really want to go all out and pull the engine and repaint the whole thing, then you're looking at 3-5k for labor and another 2 k for paint?

really depends on what you're looking for

Maaco? But what about long-term durability?

can't comment on longevity, my mr2 got maaco paint this past summer and still looks good after one wisconsin winter... and i'm probably not going to be able to answer this question as the mr2 will be for sale in a short bit... (actually if anyone offers 3500 cash i'll sell it right now)
