I took the spoiler off, and plugged the holes for now, until I can find a wingless trunklid.

You actually don't even have to plug the holes.

Not sure what looks worse, open holes, or random stuff to plug the hole. Guess it depends what you used.

I have been keeping a eye out for a silver one without the spoiler.

I guess only mildly interested, I would want one already in Silver with reasonably good paint on both colors [at part out pricing]. I would be looking to buy not trade because I would probably switch them back and forth occasionally.

I have one in silver, with no spoiler. Which is the whole reason I asked.

Sorry Chuckls, no spoilerless trunklid in pearl. At least I don't think so.

Swapped armrests!

Swapped driver's side armrest with one that I got from member SVX92-97. Much better than the old.
Another small step to restoring it to it's former glory. One piece at at time... one piece at a time...

It sure does, especially when it's something that you constantly see and feel with your arm as you're driving down the road. The picture doesn't really show how badly worn the old one was, it really was in rough shape.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Swapped the MAF on BlackBerry with one resoldered by another owner, hopefully solving her mystery stalling issue.
Just finished up plug replacement on the Legacy GT, and wanted to comment on how much easier it is to get things done on the SVX. With the conventional plug wires on the Legacy I had a he11 of a time getting the leads off the plugs, as opposed to simply loosening the coil bolts on the SVX. Finally getting them off, using a LARGE zip tie, I found the plastic sleeve had come loose from the lead on 3 of 4, then 3 of 4 had also left the little rubber seal on the end stuck on the plug after pulling the sleeve with long nose pliers. 1 hour job turned into three. I guess 60K miles is a looonnng time to a plug wire!
