Power Mode

I've seen that there is some sort of 'power' mode on the svx.

1. What effect does this have on the car when activated?
2. How is it activated?

Gracias,

Alex

It's a transmission shifting mode that lets it rev higher and shifter harder, briefly. It's activated by stomping on the gas and
holding it.

More specifically, when you kick in the power mode, it changes the shift map to hold the revs to redline before the tranny shifts to the next gear. It's mega-cool.

Power mode depends on the rate of change of the pedal position. It has to move to the floor quickly, if you are a bit limp wristed about it, it won't do it.

What does the "manual" button do? It doesn't seem to make a difference weither it's on or off.

Power button? I've seen pictures of a button to the left of the shifter on newer SVXs, is that the power button?...if not what is it?

That would be the infamous "Manual" button, which is nothing of the sort. It's only real purpose seems to be to raise false hope... only to dash it on the rocks when you find out it just makes you start off slowly in second gear (in case you're on ice or worried about impressing anyone with that viscous wheel-spin).
