I would be in for one, I wanted one when I bought the oil cap. question for you though, will you be supplying the J bolts? I went with a different battery in mine and need much shorter J bolts, I had to put some extra spacers on mine to hold the tie down in place.

Yes..my plan is to supply the whole kit of the bar, stainless screws at the top, and hooks at the bottom, with section inbetween to allow for variable heights of battery. There will not be a bunch of ugly threaded rod sticking out of the top of the bar. It's going to look good.

I know my stock hardware is all rusty and crap looking, so I'm sure every one else's is as well. Time to get rid of that stuff!

This pictured bar is just a first shot. I'll work up a few more this week I hope.

I'm taking pre-orders for late July deliveries.

Bar will be aluminum, with powder coating of popular colors. Pre-buy price is $50, and I need to get 4 more takers to ensure that this happens (have to buy powder coat equipment, powders, oven, materials, etc..)

It will come with some nice looking, new j-bolts to hold your battery down properly as well, so your whole battery mounting situation will be much improved

So here's the deal on the battery bar project and how I run it:

I'm asking for pre-buys, mostly to make sure there is enough true interest to make it worthwhile (which it appears there is).

If I can collect at least 6 paid pre-buys over the next week or so, I will move ahead with the project. If I don't get 6 orders, then I will refund the pre-buys and move the project out to the fall/winter. If I get more than 6, I'll go up to the first 10 at the $50 price point, then close the pre-buy, and re-open general sales sometime in August, with most likely a higher price (nothing crazy though)

If we go ahead, I will begin deliveries in late July. I'm booked up with some stuff for the near term, so I won't be able to start running them until after the July 4th holidays, and will need time for powder coating, etc.. so that's the reason for the lead time.

I'll be getting the powdercoating coatings from Eastwood, since they have small qtys available, so any of these colors would be game: (Including a few different CLEAR ones, @fasteract)

The design I will be making is the one at the top of this thread. It will come with new j-hooks of a stylish design.
