Re: spark plugs

NGKs are very well liked. Best you can afford as they're not the easiest to put in. Not hard, just a little bit of time.

Re: spark plugs

NGK Iridium.
And you can install the in NINE MINUTES!

OK, inside joke.
Expect two hours for 1-5, and 2 hours for #6, the first time.
YMMV

I still cannot grasp what makes the #6 so hard. I had no trouble pulling the coil up and out of the way, and the chassis hole makes pulling the actual plug a breeze.

I actually put off doing my plugs for an extra 6 weeks from fear of the driver side bank, and afterwards it was like "that was it?".

Not saying its easy easy, but I never understood the trouble people have with it.

After a problem with the #6 cylinder on the first engine in my Claret,
I got down to about 10 minutes for that plug after repetedly changing that oil fowling plug.
Practice helps speed.

Re: spark plugs

The hardest part of changing the plugs in mine was getting the ##2@@$% boot from the coil off the plug. The thing was hard as a rock and I used a pick to get the pieces out. That was 20 min. alone. The rest was a snap.First time maybe one hour+/- I bought a couple of boots for spares.
