Factory Tint levels?

Does anyone know the tint level on the OEM glass for a 92?

I want to tint mine as dark as I can, but I need to have a total of 35% of visible light passing through to make it legal. So I need to order film at 65% minus the factory level.

I cant find any freinds that have access to a digital tint meter.

Thanks in advance

Doug

$.01 - Who is the 'governing body' that would tell you that your tint is too dark? They must have some sort of meter for testing. Take your car to them and have them tell you.

$.02 - Take your car to a company that installs tint, if the rules are that strick in your area, I would think they would have the equipment to insure that their work is legal.

That's my two cents worth of suggestions . . .

I have to take the car in and show the Racine County Sheriff's department that I removed my current tint or else my $160.80 ticket becomes a $450.00 ticket. I wanted to have the new tint on before I go in to show them.

Well, I'm not going to have someone tint them, I'm doing it myself. I don't trust anyone and I'm pretty damn good at tinting.

My general experience with this issue (missouri has the same law for the front) is that if the cop can even see you then your fine and the 35% tint that is sold on the market won't make it dark enough.
