I am quite impressed with how consistant Matsui is for the Yankees...And Cabera a new 20 year old who stole 65+ bases for the Marlins. I hope this Series goes to 7 games!

Pete,

I have heard that Yogi Berra has been tutoring Posada on the finer points of catching. That could explain Posada's rapid improvement.

I think you mean Juan Pierre...he's one fast guy! Cabrera is definitley one of the better players in the MLB right now, and yes he's only like 20.

I haven't heard that, but I would definitely not doubt it. I love the yankees, so many great players still involved in the team.

I've said it many times, I won't watch another baseball game until they at least attempt to make the whole set up fair. As a Pirates fan, I'm better off watching a minor league game. To bad... I once enjoyed a ballgame.

The "Wrath of George" (Steinbrenner not Costanza) is about to strike the Bronx. I hoe he gets it right this time.
They need pitchers; at least 2 starters ,and expect for Rivera, a whole new bullpen squad.
I'd also look at the right field, first & third base positions.
George shold also do all he can to keep Andy Pettitte.
He also has to think that the player in right field will eventually have to switch positions with Bernie Williams as Bernie's career starts winding down.

I sure hope the Yanks have good prospects in their farm system.

I always root for the Yanks because after their seaons is over, all I have to look forward to are the Giants, Rangers, and shudder the Knicks.
Rosie roots for jewelry and shoes; talk about high priced talent.
Rosie is also changing her religion. She is studying to become a "Christian Dior Scientist."

cashman made a bad move when he traded for boone, he let go our top pitching prospect in Claussen, and now we're screwed, not because of money but because everyone good is taken. 3rd and 1st def. need work, maybe we can acquire Vlad Guerrero from Montreal to play right...whoknows

If the Yankees were an SVX the left front and right rear rims would be on backwards, both sunvisors would be drooping, the doors are dinged, and the tranny would need to be flaring.

Here's the meaning of my analogy:
The rims represent 1st & 3rd basemen;
The sunvisors represent the hitting;
The dings represent injuries to Bernie & Derek;
The tranny represents the bullpen.

Yesterday, the Red Sox showed how much class they don't have by dumpingg Grady Little as manager. That was one dumb move.

Yeah dropping a guy who has brought you 2 consecutive 90 win seasons isnt smart...the boss on the otherhand...he's unpredictable...Im hoping to gain Vlad or maybe even Gary Sheffield...i know one thing, its not gonna be the same team next year. I think the dynasty built up with tino, paul oneil, brosius, and bernie ended this past year, now its a new beginning

I agree with you about a "new Yankee team."

I think Bobby Valentine would make great comedy theater as the Red Sox manager.
