yup

yup, yup huck. good seeing ya again. hopefully at the oak ridge meet, i hit the dragon again. love that strip...missed it last time because of the cherohala which i will have to try again.

by the way, if you come across either an imprezza L AWD or 2.5RS, let me know. i know you have a good eye out for good deals and if you find one that's a deal let me know.

i rode in 2pt5rs (matt)'s car and was amazed at how it handles. i don't like the wrx or the sti, but a normal looking imprezza without the round lights would be great.

thanks huck!

I'll keep my eyes open for one...but Imprezas are few and far between around here....unless you would go for a 4 door 2.2 auto, there is one of those nearby that's been sitting on the lot for about a year, so he'd probably sell it cheap.
It'd still accept the same supension components as the RS's so you could build a real sleeper out of it

Harry look for a 93-95 1.8l Impreza L. You should be able to pick one up for a song! It is every bit as reliable as the 2.2 (way more so then the 2.5). I wouldn't even shy away from a FWD one. I found one for a friend 3 years ago with 100k on the odo for $1400.

Hey Ben
Can you find me a 2-door 1.8 Impreza in that price range?

re: hmm..

hmm..huck if you have time, would it be possible to get the number or the dealer name so i can call them about that. well see how my skills in negotiation are up to par by buying it cheap.

i would also run barefoot to pick up a 1.8L AWD for that price. if any of you guys see one for a good price and you aren't interested in it, let me know. i can get some good ointment to rub on my feet afterwards .

i saw alan's 1.8L at the dragon this past may of 2003. it is a beast. talk about frankenstein. wouldn't mind having one to run on the gravel and the dragon. i must keep babying this svx because it's so hard to find another in excellent condition.

I'll try to stop by the lot sometime this week, I'll check it over and see what kind of price I can get them down to.

I'll keep my eyes out. One just sold on the USMB a few weeks back for around $1500. Doubt any at this price would be awd but you never know.

I'd even be interested in a FWD 5-Speed 2-Door....if it's cheap enough

Did they even make a 2 door FWD??? I know the Brighton 2 door came out in 95 but was there any others offered that year? The one on the USMB was a red fwd wagon. I didn't inquire too much as I'm not allowed any more cars.

Is anyone bringing their lady friends to the Smokies? If not I guess I'll have to let my wife go shopping during the meet so she's not well bored out of her mind.

I'll have the wife and a daughter or two, but I'll have 2 cars, so she can do what she wants

And yes, they did make 2 door 1.8 FWD Imprezas...I have one(a 95) that I promised to fix up for my oldest daughter, and I don't think its a Brighton, as it has a Tach, and a rear spoiler.

But since I promised it to Sommer, I'd like another one for myself

See you at the meet
