Wife went to Reading & wants an SVX!

My wife and I attended Reading this past weekend and had a great time but all these SVXs in one place made my wife very jealous. She really liked Harry's red 97 and I caught her yesterday looking through AutoTrader for one.

I found a red 93 (I believe that all red 93 were Anniversary models) with 120k miles, all original. How much would this car be worth, in your opinions? Her Birthday is tomorrow and I am just thinking.....

Matt

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Hi Matt,

Your a lucky man.

Price will depend on tranny history, car condition, What's a 93 LS-L? Leather seats, sun roof, CD player, heated mirrors. Kelli could be low on the $3500.

John

OH MY BAD!!

i didn't know that they could charge more just because the car is an anniversary edition....the person that owns it probably doesn't know it. you would be surprised about how many svxers don't know what they have...isn't pearl paint more expensive then red? i would talk to him and let him know that you know the car and you mean business, you might be able to swindle a really good deal!

Kelli

ps thanks John for the correct spelling! i drove past your house today...who's truck is that?

And a 93 Anniversary, I think.

The seller is asking $4700 with a 3 month warranty or $6000 with a 4 year warranty.

Any other opinions out there?

Matt

Hey, Matt! I love your thinking on this. It wouldn't happen to be for sale from a used dealer that goes by the name "Sentner's Used Auto" would it?? I got mine there and they are known to turn around a lot of SVX. I would run and hide if it were them.

No, this place is in Newark, but that may be no better.

I am certainly more educated about this car now than I was a year ago so I can probably spot any major issues.

PS. I can't wait to try some of the cigars that you recommended.

Matt
