Would this be a 4.44?

'98 Forester L AWD auto tranny, NO spin-on filter. Serial # is TZ103ZJ1AA-L1. I'm guessing it would be a 4.44, am I correct?

I belive you are correct, however, I don't think an SVX tcu is compatible with that transmission - that is unless you are just after the differentials.

It's a 4.44, and a phase 1, so it is compatible. If it had the spin-on filter, it would be phase 2, and not compatible.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!
