I jumped into a swimming pool with my phone, and two weeks later I tried the phone one last time before runnin out to get a new one. It worked! I think that flushing it with fresh water should make it work.

Most newer phones can connect to the computer with a cable or bluetooth or etc and then you can upload your info again to your new phone.

I bought my Verizon PDA on ebay for $200 and got a 2 year warranty for $20

BTW- verizon not having sim cards is a major PITA, since they charge $20 if you want to change your number to another phone.
