Larry, do yourself a favour and get yourself another set of Dunlop Graspics. My Yoko AVS db S2's are less than useless in the winter now.

This car is fun to slide around...as long as there's plenty of room;
it's not so quick to snap back like a shorter wheel-based AWD car!

My dad has those on his SVX. I drove his once last year and ended up doing a 360 when all I wanted to do was a u-turn! I was just used to the traction of my Graspics.

We didn't get near as much snow here as was expected, the main roads/highway were clean when I left for work at 6:00am this morn (for the most part) But right after backing out of my drive from a stop I did manage to kick the back end out as my street hadn't been touched by a plow, maybe had 1"-1 1/2" of snow on it, tires are Avon MS 550's with about 1000mi on em, not real impressed and trying to decided if they are noisey as all get out (as the optimistic Mrs.Rotorflyr seems to think) or if I have some other problem causing the noise (as the pesimistic me thinks!)
I plan on throwing some snow skins on the stock rims in the next week or two so hopefully will have a better idea as to the noise issue.

Glad I put on a full set of Sonars on a couple of weeks ago and near as I can tell, they seem to have pretty decent grip in the snow, especially considering the price. They're pretty quiet too, but the wear rating is a bit lower than my previous sets of tires.
