Hairdryer Part I

Got back from Pennsylvania t and brought a toy back home I thought you would like to see. Pictures attached below (I hope, if not I'll remote host them)... still have several more parts to buy over the next months along w/ getting all these body parts installed (i hate fiberglass now). But its a start....

Specs:

Garret T04E 50 Trim Turbocharger with 360 degree monster thrust kit, dry center housing, Stage 3 turbine wheel and shaft assembly and t3 open volute 0.63 A/R turbine housing with 3" V-Band Discharge.

1 Year warranty on parts... Total includding turbine inlet flange and Billet oil drain flange: $823.50

Purchased from:

Blouch Turbo in Lebanon, PA 717-865-3276

I've never been more pleased w/ a company that makes custom parts... they took all the time I asked for on the phone with a smile and even gave me a tour around the shop. I came all the way from Texas to Pennsylvania to visit family and their facilites and I couldn't be happier with the service and quality I recieved... I would recomend them to anyone...especially since so many of you live up in that area.

Aaron

Enjoy the pics... I can answer any other question you all may have as well.

No way on the shoguns took me months to find a good set. But they do come up on ebay from time to time. Of course I had to take them off because one tire came apart on me and I'm waiting to order a new set of 4. I also need to install 1/4" longer wheel studs as the lugs don't bite with enough threads on the shoguns... and it makes me nervous.

As soon as I get these body parts on then I will post some pics.... painted or not... hehe They are killing me at work so kinda short on time.

It could be... other than pressurizing the intake tract... the infomertial did mention that it can grind meat for sausages and also dehydrate beef jerky.

How many lbs of boost can this set-up support? How much do you plan on running?

It can support whatever you want it too with a big enough turbo... There are people pushing these setups over 600hp. They work pretty well on high compression especially w/ intercoolers and methanol injection, the charge pipe that goes forward is own its own a roughly 50% effecient charge cooler.

There is a guy running a remote mount on his cavilier (3400cc V6) and has it running mid 12's... of course their are GTO's and f-bodies in the 10's and 11's too. But its pretty well proven that it works. You will suffer a lil more lag...but its nothing terrible. This guys site has the cavy... http://www.khturbo.net/ He has also helped me in sizing turbos before (including this one! )and go me to blouch turbo where I bought mine (use them...awesome!)

As far as I am going... I had my turbo sized to be 78% efficient at 6psi and to remain near that high all the way to at least 10psi. I trying to keep it a budget system... <$2500 and so far I have a $500 buffer on that maximum and still get everything I need to run a low pressure system safely. It'll take me a few months of course...but progress is progress. Next purchase is a welder so I can do more fabbing myself. Hopefully I answered your question...if you have anymore or need even more info... lemme know.
