klunking prob
i did my halfshaft install and every since when im cruising at 55 and above and hit a bump i feel a klunk in my auto shifter. so i thought i did something wrong on the install (like loose ball joint or bolt not tightened right) so i raised the car and did the ball and a arm bolts again. every thing looked good. could this be a ball joint problem? i shook everything and the half shaft had a little play but so did the other side. my struts are bad and tires. what does this sound like. tranny mounts? ball joint? a arm? halfshaft? bad tires and struts? what goes klunk in the shifter and not the wheel. and this has nothing to do with tranny this is a suspention problem.

Did you put the crush pin back in the axle?

yeah and the funny thing is every thing looks fine. inspected over and over. i have an idea i think my exhuast is hitting and making it. not sure though it feel up in the shifter witch is in the middle of car and the place where it is hitting is near the middle back. only on rising bumps. its not to loose but i guess enough.
