No joy in the "WTB" forum
Sorry to bomb the forum... BUT. I'm in need of a stock ring and pinion for a 92 LSi. I think it should be the same for all years and models. Even a smoked tranny would be a big help. If it's in the NE EVEN better. please write me at ww111@yahoo.com
Collins or I could have the first RWD SVX. Hmmm TVMIA |

Check out www.car-parts.com since it seems that no one has got ya covered here. I don't know if they'll list it there but you can at least get so yards that have SVXs and call around. Maybe one will pull it for ya! FYI DON'T SEND THEM EMAILS! You'll never here back!

It is very difficult to find just a front diff. But I'm sure you already know that though. I sold one months ago, but that was the only one I have ever seen or heard of. Almost no one is willing to separate, even if the tranny is bad. It is very easy to swap out. If you ever find one, make sure you replace every seal you can get at. If I was in your position, I would consider(OK, I would just do it) buying a low mileage Legacy or Forester tranny(4.11 or 4.44 g/r) and matching rear diff. A set can be found for as little as $1000 around here, maybe less in other parts. Swap everything out and sell your tranny, if it is still good. Could be a very cheap 'out' for you if you are mechanically inclined. Plus, you get the added bonus of significantly better acceleration. The only drawback is that the tranny is not as strong as the SVX tranny. But with a better gear ratio, it should be a little easier on it. Another option would be to swap out just the front and rear diffs and utilize the SVX tranny. That would be a little more work, but you would still have an extra tranny to sell. Just trying to give you some ideas because the likelihood of finding a front diff is so slim and a replacement tranny is so expensive. Good Luck.

If you pay for the manual upgrade on mine you can have the auto tranny. Mine is a FWD though

I have a tranny with a good diff
I have a 4EAT that I just took out of my green SVX that has a good diff in it. I would like to get rid of the thing as a whole unit. The transmission was rebiult about 15K ago but it lost third and fourth again so I decided to do a 5MT swap. The tranny wouln't be too hard to fix. It probably needs a high clutch or at least high clutch plates. Let me know if you're interested.
