Some Guy Just Backed Up Into Me!

Man my car was parked outside of my office. We had this customer driving a huge Ford F-250 and he backed up right into me! I think I'll have to replace the bumber, the hood, and the quarter pannel! The drunk I think only needs a car wash -- my liquid silver is all over his back right corner! Damn!

Where should I go? Perhaps the Suby dealer, huh? Any input helps! Thanks!

-Nick

p.s. I'll post pics later probably.

That's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that happened.

I'm taking mine to the Audi body shop on Roosevelt (in Seattle) to get my dent removed (finally), since they did a good job on my mom's car.

That is horrible! Did the guy stop, or keep going? Did he have insurance? Please give us some more info. That is really a bum deal. Sorry to hear this. Stay in touch.

Hi Earl,

I can see my car from my window at the office and I saw the guy backing up further and further until his truck just plowed into my car Poory subby shook pretty hard. SInce I saw everthing I just ran out ready to curse at the guy He had just gotten out of his truck and was on the way to the office to find out whose car he had hit. He was a little nervous and appologized sincerely. I wasn't mad or upset anymore. Even I felt bad about him Especially after telling him all about the Club and going to the meet in two weeks ! hahaha He hit the most exoctic car on the block The damage is not bad though. His insurance (AAA) should cover it all. I called to file the cliam today. No problems so far. I think they'll have to replpace the headlight and paint/replace the bumper, maybe the quarter pannel and the hood... It's mostly cosmetic damage (except the headlight) but that's enough I figure I'll get an estimate and keep the check -- that way I can get the Clear Headlights - heheheh ! It would be cool. Maybe even paint the whole car. I'm not sure how much the guy's insurance is going to cover. I'll go to where Alycone suggested and the the Subaru dealer here on Hwy 99. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks!

Nick

I'm definitely there! I saw you posted directions from Edmonds Thanks!

p.s. I'm getting some estimates in a body shop today. AAA Insurance is also going to cover me for a rental car... Man I wish I can get a 5-speed somewhere to rent

Thumbs up

Alright guys! Just had the estimate done -- $1,850 at GW Auto Rebuild -- Carter Subaru recommended Those guy charge .4 hours for "hood emblem removal/install" crazy! So I called the insurance company and they offered me a "cash-out". I think I can get the money and get the clear head-light kit to fix my lights (shop charges $400+ for just one of them). Man! This car is EXPENSIVE TO FIX!

They should make the check out to cover all new headlights, a carbonfiber hood, and a nice new bumber and repaint. It would if he hit my car. I have a personal disliking for big stupid trucks, and if the guy can't drive the damn thing without hitting stuff he shouldn't be driving it, tell him to go buy a friggin Metro. Anyway glad it's working out for you so far.
