More pictures of my crashed SVX, and plans.
Hey everyone, a little update on my crash situation. I went to the bodyshop today (finally), and got some pics of the car for myself. New Pics
Anyway, insurance is probably going to total it, but instead of taking the money and getting a new (used) car, and have to worry about anything that could go wrong on that, we're going to fix the SVX. The cost to fix it is only going to be slightly higher then what my budget was for getting another car. The pictures of the parking lot show my skid marks when i turned sideways and hit the curb, then the tree in that "island". New Pics

this happened
in a parking lot...?????
bummer about the car and all, glad no one got hurt... maybe an ego tops.... those speeds look a little excessive for parking lot driving...... Live and learn, thats what they say.... Lots of other nice SVXs for sale, and plenty to choose from.... good luck in your decision.

So, does that mean that I can buy Michael's car? <I wish>
Scott, sorry to hear about the crash. I've not been around much, but, when I do pop in, there are two things I hate to see: a crash involving an SVXer and a long time SVXer selling their car. Just makes me sad. Glad to know you're okay, and that there will be a resurrection day!

Glad to hear you've come to a decision involving being an SVX owner still. Good luck with the repairs.

Good choice, Bwana! Your SVX definitely looks repairable. Sorry you have to go through the whole ordeal though

Repairable
I don't think they'll total it, damage doesn't look that bad to me. I guess I missed your first post but I don't know exactly what happened. From your drawing it looks like another car was coming so you swerved out of the way, skidded, and hit the island? If so it would have been a lot worse had you hit the other car. You probably wouldn't have walked away without some type of injury as well. Unfortunately bodies heal themselves and cars do not.
