So my grandma wants to buy a Forester...

The midrange model. How much do dealers get them for? What price should I make her offer? They were currently giving her like a 22.5 thousand price, but I figured you guys could help me snaggle them down a bit.

What do you think? Tips? Prices?

I'm pretty sure hte new models are out as of what mayish, try shooting for a leftover 03 she may be able to get a great deal or one with more options for less money, I paid 21 all said for my mid level one of course it was an 02 model so its not entirely an equal comparison.

try this

We just bought a new ride and used this place:

www.carsdirect.com

You tell it where you are and what you want and they will send you a quote, usually from a nearby dealer. Just for example, the car we were looking at had a sticker of 26500 - rebate of 2500, so 24000 is what they wanted. The carsdirect.com price was 21500 (including the rebate). Not too shabby.

Best part is that you don't have to register or anything to get the quote, only if you want to act on the quote do you have to give them any info other than zip code and what you are looking for.

std. disclaimer - I don't work there, they don't pay me etc...
